Seen, Heard, Known & Valued

In Nepal, a child’s future is often shaped by the family they are born into, the caste they belong to, or the status society gives them. For children who have been abandoned, orphaned, or left vulnerable, that loss can go even deeper. Many lose not only safety and stability, but also identity and belonging.
At Himalayan Life, we believe every child deserves more and to be known by name.
Our theme for 2026 is I Know My Name. It is a reminder that the children we serve are not statistics or stories of poverty. They are children with names, personalities, dreams, and immeasurable value. They are seen, heard, known, and loved.
Children who once felt forgotten are discovering dignity and belonging again as they move from a place of not life to life. They are gaining confidence, rebuilding their futures, and learning that their lives matter.
Every child has a name. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, known and valued.
