Himalayan Life Opens New Home in Swamitar
In the rugged and remote mountains of Nepal just south of Chitwan, lies Swamitar. It is here that Himalayan Life has opened a new home to 65 students, ranging from grades six to ten. These students are provided with a safe, nurturing environment whereas previously, they faced challenges in accessing education due to their remote living conditions. The proximity of the home to a public school in the area allows these students to attend classes regularly, breaking the cycle of limited educational opportunities in rural regions.
The student home is managed by a dedicated local couple, David and Sonu, who have committed their lives to supporting and empowering these young minds. Their role extends beyond mere administration, as they foster a close-knit, family-like atmosphere, providing mentorship and care that are essential for the student’s growth and well-being.
