Background:
In many communities across Nepal’s Madhesh Province, children from marginalized and economically disadvantaged families face significant barriers to academic success. Many parents are unable to provide homework support due to limited educational opportunities and financial constraints, increasing the risk of poor academic performance and school dropout. Recognizing this need, Himalayan Life established the Rautahat Tutoring Program to provide children with the academic support they need to succeed.
Rautahat Tutoring Program:
Established in 2026, the Himalayan Life Rautahat Tutoring Program provides daily academic support to children who lack educational guidance at home. Through structured tutoring sessions, students receive assistance with homework, revision, and foundational learning skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
Operated by one part-time tutor with the support of a local volunteer, the program helps children strengthen their learning, improve school participation, and build confidence in their education. By providing consistent academic support, the program is helping create greater opportunities for children to remain engaged in school and reach their full potential.
