Thank You For 2025, An Incredible Year
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered at our recent Here To Stay information and fundraising events in Chilliwack and Vancouver. Your energy, generosity, and belief in our mission mean more than we can express.
As we look back on this past year, our hearts are full. 2025 brought so many moments of joy and connection, from welcoming another group of students from Pacific Academy in British Columbia to our school in Yangri, to hosting a vibrant summer camp in Ladakh, India, where 66 children got to play and simply be children. We celebrated as a team from Switzerland journeyed through several of our Himalayan projects, and we cheered on the incredible construction progress of our new school in Yangri. We also shared in the excitement as the Himalayan Life Plastics Recycling Plant in Pokhara was honoured with the 2025 Energy Globe Award. These highlights, and many more, remind us of what is possible when communities come together with purpose and compassion.
And yet, this year also brought its share of hardship. Nepal faced devastating civil unrest and natural disasters, realities that weigh heavily on the children and families we serve. But even in these darker moments, we are reminded of the importance of choosing gratitude. We cannot control every challenge, but we can decide how we show up in the midst of them. We continue to be deeply thankful for the privilege of standing alongside these children and their families in Nepal and India, for the opportunity to protect, nurture, and educate them and offer stability where life can be uncertain.
