Why I Am Biking for Altitude: Cam Ross

Himalayan Life is the most remarkable organization I have ever seen in action. Over the past 6 years, I have seen firsthand the difference they make in the lives of some of the poorest and least considered people in the world, street children and other marginalized children in Nepal.

HL’s desire is to move them from “not life to life” by protecting, nurturing, educating and loving these children. This offer of hope and a future is an ongoing story of redemption and transformation. HL programs are holistic, aligned with community needs and consistent with UN best practices for development and the money raised goes soooooo far!

To help HL with its mission, I plan to ride the highest navigable roads in the world with a small group of cyclists over 7 days this Sept. This will almost certainly be the most demanding ride I have ever attempted and I am not sure I can make it, but the kids are worth it.
